Manage Late Plate Options with New Tools

Tally Meals offers Late Plates tools in our sorority and fraternity kitchen management system for members who aren’t able to attend during dining hours for one reason or another. Whether it’s a night class, work, or fun, Late Plates help everyone get their meals. In this article, we’ll discuss the different options we offer to customize late plate options for sorority and fraternity chefs.

Toggle Late Plates for All Members by Default

Before members are able to request Late Plates, they’ll need to be granted permission by their chef or house manager. When you login to chef.tallymeals.com, select Tools > Late Plate Settings from the main menu. At the top of this page, you’ll see a section titled ‘Default Late Plate Settings’ with a checkbox (shown below). If this box is checked, any member who signs up will be able to reserve Late Plates for their meals. If you don’t offer Late Plates, simply leave this box blank.

Enable Late Plates for Specific Meals and Days

Many houses only allow late plates for certain meals or days of the week. Tally Meals features the ability to limit late plate requests to specific meals and days of the week. Below the default setting above, there is a section to configure a late plate schedule based on days of the week and meals. Simply add a check in the box for all the meals you want to offer late plates.

Enable Late Plates for Individual Members

You also have the option of allowing Late Plates for certain house members. Frequently greek houses will only offer late plates to members that live in the house. In this situation, you will need to disable late plates for all members not living in the house. To do this, you simply toggle the Late Plate permission for individuals by visiting Tools > Members. This will take you to a list of all the members signed up for your house. On the far right is a column titled ‘Late Plate’. You can uncheck any members that should not be able to request late plates here.

Collectively the tools above allow sororities and fraternities the flexibility to customize and edit Late Plate permissions at any time throughout the semester for any scenario. If you have any questions, or would like more information, feel free to reach out to your Tally Meals representative.
