Reserve Meals in Just a Few Easy Steps with Tally Meals
Students simply download the Tally Meals app and set up their dietary restrictions, preferences, and meal plan. From there, they can browse weekly menus, reserve meals, and request late plates-all from their phone.
When meal time arrives, chefs have access to a printable list with all attendees, late plate requests, and detailed dietary info-making meal prep smooth and organized.
How It Works:
Meal Preferences
After linking your Tally Meals account to your chapter, you'll need to configure your Meal Preferences. There are three key items to complete on this screen:
Diets
Your default diet is set to None. You can change this to Vegetarian or Vegan by simply tapping to add a check mark. Once selected, this preference will automatically appear next to your name on the reservations list-no need to re-enter it each time.
Allergies
You can select multiple allergies from the list provided. After making your selections, be sure to tap Submit to save them. These allergies will be included with every meal reservation moving forward.
Other Allergies
If you have an allergy that's not listed, enter it in the Other Allergies text field.
Examples: All fish, Peaches, Nuts, etc.
Weekly View
The Weekly View screen is organized into two main areas. At the top, you'll see a summary of your meal reservations. Below that, the screen displays detailed menu information for each day of the week, helping you plan ahead with ease. Here are some helpful tips for using this screen:
You can click or unclick the check boxes at the top of the screen to instantly reserve or cancel a meal. The color codes help you understand meal availability:
Each meal has a cut off time after which you can no longer make changes to your reservation. If you try to select a meal after the cut-off time, a popup will appear informing you of the deadline
In the lower half of the Weekly View, meal descriptions are listed with options for "Going," "Not Going," or "Late Plate." Selecting these works the same way as the check boxes above, letting you reserve or cancel meals. Note that Late Plates can only be reserved in this section—not from the top view.
Choosing the Late Plate option marks your meal as a to-go order to be picked up after the regular meal time. Note that not all accounts offer late plates, and account managers can enable this option for specific members.
The details arrow opens options for unique situations where you can change your party size and submit a note to the chef. Both details will be included with your reservation.
After dining, you can rate your meals. This feedback helps chefs understand which dishes are most enjoyed and guides future menu planning.
